A few years ago I needed a small piece of glass sculpture
to complete my vision of an elaborate jester I was sculpting.
I commissioned a glass artist to make it for me but despite
several tries he just never quite connected with what was
in my head. As I watched him work I thought "I could
do this myself". I thanked him and paid him for his efforts.
Then I appropriated my husband's welding setup and changed
it to propane gas and got started teaching myself to "do" glass.
I made lots of glass flowers and trinkets and of course the
glass flame I had wanted for the sculpture that started it all.
Almost a year later I set it aside to spend more time with my clay,
but, it would never get completely out of my head. Ideas for
glass work kept filling my mind and a few months ago I
finally decided I had better quite ignoring my muses (they
really hate it when you don't listen).
This page will soon have images of my efforts in this direction.
There are so many creative things going on in my life that the
time to do web work is in short supply but, I will get to it.
Come back again soon and there will be images of lots of
pretty baubles made of hot glass.
Thank you,
Linda
